Dr. Bradford Lee is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute specializing in oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University, a master's degree from the London School of Economics and London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and his medical degree at Stanford University. He attended Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami for his residency training and was fortunate to receive his oculoplastics ASOPRS fellowship training with Dr. Don Kikkawa and Dr. Bobby Korn at the Shiley Eye Institute, University of California San Diego (UCSD).
At UCSD, he served as a Clinical Instructor in oculoplastics; staffed surgery for residents in ophthalmology, plastic surgery, and otolaryngology; founded and directed the resident training program in cosmetic injectables; and was a recipient of a grant from the anatomy department for cadaveric surgical training of residents. He was recognized during both fellowship years with the Outstanding Teacher award.
At Bascom Palmer, Dr. Lee has an active role in training the institute's three ASOPRS oculoplastics fellows and resident ophthalmologists. He has been the recipient of the ASCRS Foundation Research Grant and the National Eye Institute Travel Grant, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He has presented and taught courses at the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Annual Meeting, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS), the Cosmetic Surgery Forum, Ophthalmology Update, the Japanese Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (JSOPRS), the Inter-American Course in Clinical Ophthalmology, and will be guest faculty at the 2016 Vegas Cosmetic Surgery meeting.
His clinical and research interests include thyroid eye disease, facial aging and rejuvenation, and regenerative medicine in oculoplastic surgery.
